There’s nothing I love more than a juicy burger. Especially if it’s loaded with bacon, bbq sauce, and fried onions. Anybody with me? But sometimes I also like to tone it down a bit and find ways to make a healthy burger that still tastes amazing! This way I can eat them more often and still reach my goals. So let’s welcome this deliciously seasoned turkey burger…
I wanted a recipe that was simple to make with minimal ingredients, but one that had maximal flavor. And this was it!
Start out my laying out all of your ingredients on the counter, and grabbing a large mixing bowl. Put your ground turkey in the bowl along with your diced onion, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix everything together with your hands until thoroughly combined.
Then separate and roll into 4 evenly sized balls. You can weigh them on a food scale to ensure they are the same size if you’d like. Then I used a hamburger press to flatten them, however you may also just flatten them with your hands.
I grilled my burgers inside on a sprayed pan, however you can also grill them outside if you’d like! These burgers stay fresh in the fridge for up to 5 days. I froze a few of mine to eat about a week later, and they still tasted great! Try serving these with my garlic roasted sweet potatoes and sauteed green beans for a complete, healthy meal!

Great recipe, very yummy! Any suggestions for other ways to use the left over Miso paste? Marinade? Make into another type of sauce? Ideas??? It’s too good to not use up!

I have always had bad luck trying to make burgers with ground poultry so was very skeptical that – without binders – this recipe would be any different. Happy to say I was wrong! Just made these and they were perfect! I don’t care for parsley so I subbed ground sage and I added a dash of red pepper flakes for heat. Tasty! I look forward to trying other spice combinations in the future. One tip that I found on another site helped. After forming the burgers I stuck them in the freezer for 45 minutes. This helped them maintain their shape when placed in my cast iron skillet. This recipe and technique is definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing!
