Happy almost Christmas! It feels weird to be releasing a new blog post on a Saturday, but I wanted to beat the holiday craziness. Plus if anybody is looking for a great last minute side dish for their Christmas dinner, I’ve got you covered!
Green beans are one of my favorite vegetables. I could eat them at every meal and be perfectly happy. So I love coming up with fun new recipes that use green beans. If I need a quick recipe in a pinch, these sautéed green beans are my go-to recipe. I always have the ingredients on hand, which makes this already easy recipe even simpler.
Start out by washing and trimming your green beans. Then grab a big pan (with sides) and place it on the stove. Heat the olive oil in the pan over medium heat. Add the green beans and spices, and cook until tender. Make sure to stir occasionally to prevent the green beans from burning.
And that’s it! Yes this recipe really is that simple. It stores in the fridge up to 5 days, and I’m sure it can also be frozen, but I’ve never tried. Serve this up with almost any main dish. Need some inspiration? Try serving it with my seasoned turkey burgers for a deliciously complete meal!
